  1. 1. Peel the Pears.
  2. 2. Cut the Pears in half.
  3. 3. Remove the core area from the Pear halves.
  4. 4. Immediately dab the Pear pieces with Lemon juice.
  5. 5. Add the Red wine, the Cinnamon stick and the Sugar to a pot.
  6. 6. Bring the mixture in the pot to a gentle simmer.
  7. 7. Place the Pear halves in the warm liquid.
  8. 8. Cook the Pears for 5 to 10 minutes.
  9. 9. Remove the soft Pears from the pot.
  10. 10. Let the Pears cool down.
  11. 11. Let the remaining liquid in the pot continue to reduce.
  12. 12. Cook the Sauce until it is syrupy.
  13. 13. Portion the Vanilla ice cream onto the plates.
  14. 14. Place the cooled Pear halves on or next to the ice cream.
  15. 15. Pour the warm Red wine sauce over the Pears.
  16. 16. Garnish the dish to taste with Whipped cream.
  17. 17. Add fresh Mint leaves as decoration.
