Ingrédients
- chili pepper Mix 3 pcs.
- Garlic cloves 4 pcs.
- Ginger, fresh 20 g
- Brown sugar 150 g
- Vinegar 3 tbsp
- Water 250 ml
- Cornstarch 1 tbsp
- Salt pinch
Préparation
- 1. Sort out the green peppers from the pepper mix and use them for another purpose.
- 2. Wash the remaining peppers, remove the green tops, and slice them along with the seeds.
- 3. Peel the garlic and chop it roughly.
- 4. Peel the ginger and chop it as well.
- 5. Puree the peppers, garlic, and ginger finely in a tall container.
- 6. Add the pepper puree, sugar, vinegar, and 250 milliliters of water to a pot.
- 7. Heat the pot on a low setting.
- 8. Let the mixture simmer covered for about 20 minutes.
- 9. Whisk the starch in a small bowl with one tablespoon of cold water.
- 10. Add the starch-water mixture to the sauce.
- 11. Cook the sauce on medium heat for about 2 minutes until it thickens.
- 12. Season the sweet chili sauce with salt to taste.
- 13. Fill the hot sauce into a sterile bottle with a capacity of 250 milliliters.
