🍽️ Quinces in Cognac Syrup

Ingrédients
- 2 kg quinces
- 500 g sugar
- 500 g honey
- 4 c. à soupe wine vinegar
- 1 branches cinnamon
- 750 ml water
- 125 ml cognac
Préparation
- 1. Peel the quinces.
- 2. Remove the core.
- 3. Cut the fruit into quarters.
- 4. Cut into even slices.
- 5. Break the cinnamon stick into small pieces.
- 6. Add sugar, honey, vinegar, cinnamon pieces and water to a pot.
- 7. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- 8. Add the quince slices to the liquid.
- 9. Let the fruit steep over low heat for 20 to 30 minutes.
- 10. Remove the fruit from the pot.
- 11. Layer the fruit into prepared jars.
- 12. Continue cooking the liquid until it is slightly thickened.
- 13. Let the liquid cool.
- 14. Stir in the cognac.
- 15. Pour the finished syrup over the fruit.
- 16. Seal the jars immediately.
- 17. Let the jars cool.
