Ingrédients
- 3 stale rolls
- 3 eggs
- 125 lukewarm milk
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 0.5 paprika powder (hot)
- 100 g grated Gouda
- 200 g cooked ham (1 thick slice)
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley
- 2 tbsp chopped walnuts
- butter (for the pan)
- breadcrumbs (for the pan)
Préparation
- 1. Cut the rolls into small cubes.
- 2. Put the roll cubes into a large bowl.
- 3. Separate the eggs so you have the yolks and whites separated.
- 4. Whisk the yolks with the milk.
- 5. Season the yolk-milk mixture with salt and pepper.
- 6. Pour the seasoned liquid over the rolls.
- 7. Let the rolls absorb the liquid for about 20 minutes.
- 8. Cut the ham into small cubes.
- 9. Grease the loaf pan with butter.
- 10. Sprinkle breadcrumbs into the greased pan.
- 11. Whip the egg whites stiff until firm.
- 12. Add the grated cheese to the soaked roll mixture.
- 13. Add the ham cubes to the roll mixture.
- 14. Fold the parsley into the mixture.
- 15. Add the nuts to the roll mixture.
- 16. Season the mixture with paprika powder.
- 17. Finally, taste the mixture and adjust with salt and pepper.
- 18. Gently fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites.
- 19. Fill the entire mixture into the prepared pan.
- 20. Place the pan with the mixture into a larger baking dish.
- 21. Pour about 3 centimeters high boiling hot water into the large pan.
- 22. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
- 23. Place the pan in the center of the preheated oven.
- 24. Bake the casserole for 45 to 50 minutes.
- 25. Take the pan out of the oven.
- 26. Let the casserole cool down briefly.
- 27. Turn the casserole out of the pan.
- 28. Slice the casserole.
- 29. Serve the slices with a tomato salad.
