Ingrédients
- 500 g farine
- 42 g levure fraîche (1 cube)
- 100 g sucre de canne complet
- 125 ml lait tiède
- 80 g beurre mou
- 1 sachet sucre vanillé
- 1 œuf
- 1 jaune d'œuf
- 1 c. à soupe lait concentré
Préparation
- 1. Pour the flour into a large bowl.
- 2. Press a well into the center of the flour with your hand.
- 3. Crumble the fresh yeast directly into this well.
- 4. Add one tablespoon of cane sugar to the yeast.
- 5. Pour in half of the lukewarm milk.
- 6. Gently stir the ingredients in the well with a fork.
- 7. Cover the bowl with a clean cloth.
- 8. Place the bowl in a warm spot and let the dough rise for 15 minutes.
- 9. Add the remaining cane sugar to the bowl.
- 10. Pour in the rest of the lukewarm milk.
- 11. Add the butter.
- 12. Add the vanilla sugar.
- 13. Beat the egg into the mixture.
- 14. Knead everything into a smooth dough using the dough hooks of a hand mixer.
- 15. Cover the bowl with the cloth again.
- 16. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 35 minutes.
- 17. Wait until the dough has visibly increased in size.
- 18. Sprinkle some flour onto a clean work surface.
- 19. Knead the dough briefly on this surface.
- 20. Divide the dough into three equal pieces.
- 21. Roll each piece into a long rope.
- 22. Braid the three ropes together into a loaf.
- 23. Press the ends of the ropes firmly together.
- 24. Line a baking sheet with baking paper.
- 25. Place the loaf on the prepared tray.
- 26. Let the loaf rise for another 5 minutes.
- 27. Whisk the egg yolk in a small bowl with the condensed milk.
- 28. Brush the loaf carefully with this mixture.
- 29. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius conventional heat.
- 30. Place the tray in the oven.
- 31. Bake the loaf for 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown.
