  1. 1. Rinse the lettuce leaves under cold water.
  2. 2. Remove any tough stems or wilted green parts from the lettuce.
  3. 3. Pat the chicken breast fillets dry with a kitchen towel.
  4. 4. Gently flatten the fillets using a meat mallet or a rolling pin.
  5. 5. Season the meat with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. 6. Coat the chicken pieces in a bowl of flour.
  7. 7. Whisk an egg in a second bowl.
  8. 8. Dip the floured chicken pieces into the whisked egg.
  9. 9. Cover the chicken pieces completely with breadcrumbs.
  10. 10. Heat oil in a large frying pan.
  11. 11. Fry the breaded chicken pieces in the hot oil.
  12. 12. Cook the chicken for about 4 to 5 minutes.
  13. 13. Turn the chicken until they are golden brown and crispy.
  14. 14. Place the finished chicken on kitchen paper.
  15. 15. Let the excess oil drain from the meat.
  16. 16. Slice the buns in half horizontally.
  17. 17. Place the chicken breast on the bottom half of the bun.
  18. 18. Place a slice of cheese on the hot chicken.
  19. 19. Place the washed lettuce leaves on top.
  20. 20. Place a slice of tomato on the lettuce.
  21. 21. Add a dollop of remoulade sauce on the tomato.
  22. 22. Add any other desired ingredients such as pickles or onions.
  23. 23. Place the top half of the bun on top as a lid.
  24. 24. Serve the chicken burger immediately.
