  2. 2. Remove the stems from the berries.
  3. 3. Let the berries drain well in a sieve.
  4. 4. Place the blackberries and the sugar into a pot.
  5. 5. Gently crush the berries with a spoon.
  6. 6. Heat the mixture on the stove.
  7. 7. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  8. 8. Rinse jars or bottles with a wide opening with hot water.
  9. 9. Pour the hot blackberry-sugar mixture into the prepared containers.
  10. 10. Pour the vinegar over the berries in the jars.
  11. 11. Place the containers in a sunny spot.
  12. 12. Let the mixture infuse for about two weeks.
  13. 13. Shake the jars occasionally.
  14. 14. Strain the vinegar through a fine sieve.
  15. 15. Remove the remaining berry pieces in the process.
  16. 16. Pour the finished vinegar into clean bottles.
