  6. 6. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg yolks with 100 grams of sugar and a pinch of salt until frothy.
  7. 7. Mix flour, starch, and baking powder in a small bowl.
  8. 8. Sift the flour mixture over the egg yolk mixture.
  9. 9. Gently fold in half of the egg whites with a spoon.
  10. 10. Gently fold in the remaining egg whites into the mixture.
  11. 11. Line a springform pan with a diameter of 26 centimeters with baking paper.
  12. 12. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  13. 13. Smooth the surface of the batter.
  14. 14. Bake the base in the oven until golden brown.
  15. 15. Let the cake base cool completely.
  16. 16. Soak the gelatin sheets in cold water.
