🍰 Mulled Wine Jelly

Ingredientes
- oranges 4 pcs
- red wine, dry 800 ml
- cinnamon stick 2 pcs
- star anise 1 tbsp
- jam sugar 500 g
Preparación
- 1. Wash the oranges thoroughly and slice one orange. Halve the remaining oranges and squeeze out the juice. In a pot, bring the red wine together with the cinnamon sticks, star anise, and orange slices to a boil and let it simmer gently for about 5 minutes.
- 2. Add the freshly squeezed orange juice so that there is a total of 1 liter of liquid in the pot. Mix everything well with the jam sugar and bring to a boil. Simmer gently over medium heat for about 4 minutes, stirring constantly.
- 3. For the setting test, place a teaspoon of the jelly on a cold plate. If the jelly sets after about 1 minute, it can be processed further. If it is still too liquid, extend the cooking time by 1–2 minutes and repeat the setting test.
- 4. Carefully skim off the foam that forms. Remove the spices and fill the finished jelly hot into sterilized screw-top jars. Close the jars and let them cool upside down. The mulled wine jelly can be served as desired. Enjoy your meal!
