Ingredientes
- 1 clove garlic
- 500 ml classic vegetable broth
- salt
- 125 g cornmeal
- pepper
- a little olive oil (for the baking dish)
Preparación
- 1. Peel the garlic clove.
- 2. Add the broth, garlic, and a pinch of salt to a pot.
- 3. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- 4. Stir the cornmeal (polenta) into the boiling liquid while stirring constantly.
- 5. Reduce the heat to the lowest setting.
- 6. Let the polenta simmer on low heat for about 40 minutes.
- 7. Stir frequently to prevent sticking.
- 8. Lightly grease a baking dish or baking sheet with oil.
- 9. Season the cooked polenta with salt and pepper.
- 10. Transfer the polenta into the prepared dish.
- 11. Dip a tablespoon or spatula into water.
- 12. Spread the polenta evenly to a thickness of about 2 centimeters.
- 13. Let the polenta cool down completely.
- 14. Turn the cooled polenta out onto a cutting board.
- 15. Cut the polenta into any shapes you like, such as circles, triangles, or diamonds.
- 16. Brush each piece lightly with olive oil.
- 17. Heat a grill pan or a non-stick pan.
- 18. Fry the polenta pieces for about 3 to 5 minutes per side until golden brown.
