🍽️ Grilled Mackerel with Fresh Avocado Salsa

Ingredientes
- 2 limes
- 2 avocados
- 2 red bell peppers
- 0.5 red onion
- 2 tbsp sherry vinegar
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp chopped parsley
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 4 mackerel fillets (approx. 130 g each)
- lime wedges (for serving)
Preparación
- 1. Squeeze the limes to extract the juice.
- 2. Halve the avocados and remove the pits.
- 3. Peel the avocados and dice the flesh into approx. 1 cm cubes.
- 4. Mix the avocado cubes immediately with half of the lime juice.
- 5. Wash the peppers and remove the core (seeds and membranes).
- 6. Dice the peppers finely.
- 7. Peel the onion and cut it into small cubes.
- 8. Combine the peppers, onions, and avocados in a bowl and mix well.
- 9. Stir in the sherry vinegar, 1 tablespoon of oil, and the chopped parsley.
- 10. Season the salsa to taste with salt and pepper.
- 11. Rinse the mackerel fillets briefly and pat them dry with kitchen paper.
- 12. Drizzle the remaining lime juice over the fillets.
- 13. Brush the fillets lightly with oil.
- 14. Preheat the grill or a griddle pan.
- 15. Place the fillets on the hot grill surface.
- 16. Grill the mackerel for approx. 2 minutes per side.
- 17. Season the fillets with salt and pepper while grilling.
- 18. Remove the cooked fillets from the grill and place them on plates.
- 19. Spread the avocado salsa generously over the fillets.
- 20. Serve the meal with lime wedges on the side, if desired.
