  1. 1. Fill a pot with water and bring it to a boil.
  2. 2. Add 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of sugar to the boiling water.
  3. 3. Cook the corn cobs in it for about 15 minutes until tender.
  4. 4. Take the softened butter and mix it thoroughly with the lemon zest, herbs, salt, and pepper.
  5. 5. Adjust the seasoning of the butter with a little more salt or pepper if you like.
  6. 6. Place the herb butter in the refrigerator until it is cold.
  7. 7. Drain the cooking water from the corn and let it cool down briefly.
  8. 8. Brush the corn cobs thinly with some butter.
  9. 9. Place the corn on the hot grill.
  10. 10. Grill the cobs for about 10 minutes, turning them around the whole way.
  11. 11. Cut the grilled corn into pieces as you prefer.
  12. 12. Sprinkle some sea salt over the finished corn pieces.
  13. 13. Serve the remaining cold herb butter on the side for dipping.
