  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. 2. Wash the pumpkin flesh under running water and pat it dry with a kitchen towel.
  3. 3. Cut the pumpkin flesh into small cubes.
  4. 4. Wash the bell pepper and cut it in half lengthwise.
  5. 5. Remove the seeds and white pith from the bell pepper.
  6. 6. Cut the deseeded bell pepper into small cubes as well.
  7. 7. Peel the garlic cloves and chop them finely.
  8. 8. Wash the thyme sprigs and shake them dry.
  9. 9. Strip the small thyme leaves from the stems.
  10. 10. Whisk the egg yolks in a bowl with half of the specified amount of oil and the milk.
  11. 11. Add the chopped pumpkin flesh and bell pepper cubes to a large mixing bowl.
  12. 12. Add the chopped garlic and the stripped thyme leaves to the vegetables.
  13. 13. Mix the vegetables well with the aromatics.
  14. 14. Season the vegetable mixture with salt, pepper, and grated nutmeg.
  15. 15. Evenly distribute the seasoned vegetable mixture onto four heatproof ramekins.
  16. 16. Pour the prepared egg-milk mixture over the vegetables in the ramekins.
  17. 17. Sprinkle each casserole with cheese and breadcrumbs.
  18. 18. Place the ramekins in the preheated oven and bake for about 40 minutes.
