🍽️ Crispy Fried Squid Rings

Ingredientes
- 500 g kitchen-ready small squid
- flour
- 2 eggs
- salt
- 500 ml vegetable oil
- 4 lemons (halved)
Preparación
- 1. Wash the squid and cut them into thick rings. Alternatively, you can simply cut them in half lengthwise.
- 2. Crack the eggs into a shallow bowl and whisk them well. Add a pinch of salt.
- 3. Prepare a second container with flour.
- 4. Coat the squid rings in the dry flour first. Shake off any excess flour.
- 5. Dip the floured rings into the egg mixture. Make sure they are fully coated.
- 6. Then coat the rings once more in the flour to create a nice crust.
- 7. Heat the frying oil in a pot or pan. Test the temperature by holding a wooden stick in the oil: If small bubbles rise, the oil is hot enough.
- 8. Fry the squid rings in batches in the hot oil until golden brown. Avoid overcrowding the pan so the temperature does not drop too much.
- 9. Remove the fried rings and place them on kitchen paper to absorb excess oil.
- 10. Serve the squid rings immediately while hot, accompanied by fresh lemon wedges.
