🍝 Baked Pasta with Gyros Meat in Metaxa Sauce

Ingredientes
- 250 g pasta
- 500 g gyros meat
- 1 bell pepper(s), red
- 2 onion(s)
- 150 g mushrooms (fresh)
- 50 g tomato paste
- crema agria 200 g
- 400 g cream
- 4 cl Metaxa
- 125 g cheese, grated
- salt and pepper
- paprika powder
Preparación
- 1. Fry the gyros meat in some oil until well browned.
- 2. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees fan-forced.
- 3. Cook the pasta in plenty of salted water until al dente.
- 4. Drain the pasta.
- 5. Place the pasta in a baking dish.
- 6. Add the browned meat to the dish as well.
- 7. Wash the vegetables.
- 8. Cut the vegetables into small pieces.
- 9. Fry the vegetables in the same oil used for the meat.
- 10. Season the vegetables with salt and pepper.
- 11. Mix the vegetables with the meat and pasta in the baking dish.
- 12. Deglaze the frying fat with cream.
- 13. Stir in the sour cream.
- 14. Add tomato paste and Metaxa (a Greek brandy).
- 15. Add more tomato paste or Metaxa to taste.
- 16. Season the sauce with salt, pepper, paprika powder, and other spices to your liking.
- 17. Pour the sauce over the ingredients in the baking dish.
- 18. Sprinkle everything with cheese.
- 19. Place the dish in the preheated oven for 20 to 30 minutes.
