  4. 4. Heat the stove to the highest setting and add some butter to the pan.
  5. 5. For even results: Take the hot pan off the heat and swirl the butter around. Then add a large ladle of batter and swirl to spread it evenly.
  6. 6. Wait patiently until the bottom is golden brown and the pancake is firm. Test gently with a spatula. If it releases easily, flip it and cook the second side golden yellow.
