  3. 3. Add water and bay leaf, bring to a boil.
  4. 4. Slice sausage and add to soup, cook for 15 minutes.
  5. 5. Add sourdough and spices, simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. 6. Serve with sour cream and enjoy.
