🍽️ Crispy Whole Chicken with Fries from the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 1,4 kg chicken
- 1 lemon
- 4 sprigs thyme
- 2 sprigs rosemary
- olive oil
- salt
- 600 g frozen fries
- 2 garlic cloves
- 4 stalks flat-leaf parsley
- 1 tsp white wine vinegar
Instructions
- 1. Season the inside of the chicken generously with salt.
- 2. Poke the lemon several times with the tip of a knife.
- 3. Stuff the chicken with the herbs and the prepared lemon.
- 4. Brush the entire chicken with olive oil.
- 5. Sprinkle the outside of the chicken with sea salt.
- 6. Place the chicken breast-side down in the air fryer basket.
- 7. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C and cook the chicken for 30 minutes.
- 8. Turn the chicken over so the breast side is now facing up.
- 9. Cook the chicken for another 20 minutes at 180 °C until the skin is golden brown and the core temperature reaches 75 °C.
- 10. Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- 11. Place the frozen fries in the air fryer basket.
- 12. Cook the fries at 180 °C, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time.
- 13. Finely chop the garlic.
- 14. Fry the garlic in a little olive oil over low heat until lightly browned.
- 15. Remove the garlic from the pan and set it aside.
- 16. Finely chop the flat-leaf parsley.
- 17. Place the cooked fries in a bowl.
- 18. Add the fried garlic and parsley to the fries.
- 19. Season the fries with salt and pepper.
- 20. Serve the fries together with the chicken.
- 21. Drizzle the fries with a few drops of vinegar just before serving.
