Ingredients
- 500 g pork ribs
- 1 tsp paprika powder, sweet
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp tsp salt
- ½ tsp tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp BBQ sauce
Instructions
- 1. Check the back of the ribs for a thin, silvery membrane (silver skin).
- 2. Lift the membrane carefully with a knife and pull it off completely using a kitchen towel.
- 3. Cut the ribs into smaller portions of about two to three ribs per piece.
- 4. Rub the meat pieces with olive oil so that the spice mixture adheres better later.
- 5. Mix paprika powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper in a small bowl.
- 6. Rub the spice mixture generously onto both sides of the ribs.
- 7. Preheat the air fryer to 150 °C.
- 8. Place the ribs individually in the fryer basket without stacking them.
- 9. Cook the ribs for 25 minutes at 150 °C.
- 10. Turn the ribs after half the cooking time.
- 11. Brush the ribs with BBQ sauce after 30 minutes of total cooking time.
- 12. Increase the temperature of the air fryer to 200 °C.
- 13. Cook the ribs for another 5 minutes at 200 °C to caramelize the sauce.
- 14. Remove the ribs from the air fryer and let them rest for 5 minutes.
- 15. Serve the ribs with extra BBQ sauce, ideally together with Cole Slaw or potato wedges.
