🍽️ Crispy Beetroot Chips from the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 2 piece beetroot
- 1 tsp olive oil
- ½ tsp sea salt
- ½ tsp Optional: smoked paprika powder or rosemary
Instructions
- 1. Put on kitchen gloves to protect your hands from the strong staining of the beetroot.
- 2. Thoroughly wash the beetroot under running water.
- 3. Peel the beetroot completely using a peeler or a sharp knife.
- 4. Slice the beetroot into very thin rounds, about 1 to 2 millimeters thick.
- 5. Place the slices on kitchen paper and gently pat them dry.
- 6. Put the dry slices into a bowl.
- 7. Drizzle the slices with olive oil.
- 8. Season the slices to taste with salt and your favorite spices.
- 9. Mix everything in the bowl until all slices are evenly coated.
- 10. Arrange the slices in a single flat layer in the basket of the air fryer.
- 11. Preheat the air fryer to 160 °C.
- 12. Cook the chips for 15 minutes at 160 °C.
- 13. Shake the basket after 7.5 minutes to ensure the chips become crispy evenly.
- 14. Remove the chips from the air fryer as soon as they are crispy.
- 15. Place the chips on a wire rack and let them cool down briefly.
- 16. Enjoy the chips once they have cooled completely, as they will be crispiest then.
