Ingredients
- 2 pcs onions
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 1 tbsp oil
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onions and cut them in half.
- 2. Slice the onion halves into thin rings.
- 3. Gently separate the rings with your fingers.
- 4. Place the onion rings in a large bowl.
- 5. Add flour, salt, pepper, and optional paprika powder.
- 6. Mix the spices thoroughly with the onions.
- 7. Add the oil and stir everything well.
- 8. Ensure the onions are evenly coated.
- 9. Preheat the air fryer to 160 °C.
- 10. Lightly spray the basket with oil if necessary.
- 11. Distribute the onions evenly in the basket.
- 12. Make sure the onions are not too crowded.
- 13. Fry the onions for 10 to 15 minutes at 160 °C.
- 14. Shake the basket well every 3 to 4 minutes.
- 15. Turn the onions with a fork if necessary.
- 16. Remove the crispy onions from the fryer.
- 17. Place the onions on a tray lined with kitchen paper.
- 18. Let the onions cool down briefly.
- 19. Use the fried onions directly as a topping.
- 20. Store them in an airtight container.
