  1. 1. Preheat the air fryer to 200 °C.
  2. 2. Place a heat-resistant bowl made of metal or silicone in the fryer basket to catch the corn kernels.
  3. 3. If you do not have a bowl, fold a piece of aluminum foil into a small tray with slightly raised edges and place it in the basket.
  4. 4. Put the corn kernels into the prepared tray.
  5. 5. If you want to use oil, add it now and stir the kernels so they are evenly coated.
  6. 6. Set the air fryer to 200 °C.
  7. 7. Make sure the basket is not too full so that the hot air can circulate well.
  8. 8. Let the corn pop for 6 to 8 minutes.
  9. 9. Carefully open the air fryer after about 3 to 4 minutes.
  10. 10. Shake the bowl slightly to distribute the corn kernels well.
  11. 11. Close the air fryer again and let the process continue.
  12. 12. Turn off the air fryer as soon as the popping slows down, which should be the case after approx. 8 minutes.
  13. 13. Let the popcorn rest in the air fryer for one minute.
  14. 14. Take the bowl with the finished popcorn out of the air fryer.
  15. 15. Season the popcorn to taste with salt, sugar, or other spices.
  16. 16. Enjoy the crunchy popcorn immediately.
