🍽️ Crispy Honey-Thyme Carrots from the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 300 g carrots
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp coarse salt
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 pinch pepper
Instructions
- 1. Wash the carrots and peel them thoroughly.
- 2. Cut off the hard ends at the tips.
- 3. Split the carrots in half lengthwise.
- 4. Cut very thick carrot pieces into quarters so they are roughly the same size as the others.
- 5. Put olive oil, honey, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and fresh thyme leaves into a large bowl.
- 6. Stir the ingredients in the bowl vigorously until a uniform sauce forms.
- 7. Add the prepared carrot pieces to the bowl with the sauce.
- 8. Toss the carrots in the sauce until every piece is evenly and thickly coated.
- 9. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C and let it heat up for 3 minutes.
- 10. Place the marinated carrots side by side in the cooking basket of the air fryer.
- 11. Cook the carrots for 15 minutes at 180 °C in the air fryer.
- 12. Open the fryer halfway through the cooking time and shake the basket vigorously so the carrots become evenly crispy.
- 13. Remove the basket after the cooking time and let the carrots rest for 2 minutes.
- 14. Serve the warm carrots directly as a side dish to meat, falafel, or simply plain with a yogurt dip.
