Ingredients

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C. Wait about 3 minutes until the appliance reaches the temperature.
  2. 2. Slice the spring onions into thin rings. Let the jalapeños drain well. If using beans or corn, rinse them briefly and pat them dry.
  3. 3. Divide all ingredients into two equal halves. You will build the nachos in two layers so that every chip is covered.
  4. 4. Place half of the tortilla chips loosely in the basket. Ensure they overlap slightly but are not packed too tightly.
  5. 5. Sprinkle half of the grated cheddar cheese evenly over the chips. Distribute half of the jalapeños and spring onions on top.
  6. 6. Add half of the beans or corn. Lightly dust everything with paprika powder for color and flavor.
  7. 7. Place the remaining chips as a second layer on top. Repeat the process with the remaining cheese and toppings.
  8. 8. Add especially plenty of cheese to the top layer. This ensures a appetizingly browned surface.
  9. 9. Insert the basket into the preheated air fryer. Set 180 °C and 5 minutes.
  10. 10. Do not open the fryer during this time. This would let heat escape and disrupt the melting process.
  11. 11. Open the basket briefly after 5 minutes. Check if the cheese is melted but not yet brown.
  12. 12. Set the fryer for another 3 minutes at 180 °C. This gives the cheese a golden color and bubbles.
  13. 13. Carefully remove the basket. Let the nachos rest for 1 minute so the hot cheese sets slightly.
  14. 14. Slide the nachos onto a large plate. Add dollops of sour cream and salsa on top.
  15. 15. Garnish with fresh cilantro and additional spring onions. Serve immediately while the cheese is creamy.
