🍽️ Crispy Asparagus from the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 500 g asparagus
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp paprika powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the asparagus thoroughly under running water.
- 2. Cut off the woody, lower ends of the stalks.
- 3. If you are using white asparagus, peel it completely down to the tip.
- 4. Put olive oil, garlic powder, paprika powder, salt, and pepper into a small bowl.
- 5. Stir the spices and oil well until a homogeneous mixture is formed.
- 6. Put the prepared asparagus into a large bowl.
- 7. Pour the oil-spice mixture over the asparagus.
- 8. Toss the asparagus until every stalk is evenly coated with the seasoning.
- 9. Optional: Roll the asparagus in breadcrumbs or panko for extra crispiness.
- 10. Place the asparagus in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- 11. If the basket is full, cook the asparagus in two separate batches.
- 12. Preheat the air fryer to 190 °C.
- 13. Cook the asparagus for 10 to 12 minutes at 190 °C.
- 14. Shake the basket once or twice during cooking time to ensure everything becomes evenly crispy.
- 15. Remove the asparagus and serve immediately while it is still hot.
- 16. Drizzle the finished asparagus with fresh lemon juice.
- 17. Garnish with some grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
