🍽️ Crispy Stuffed Pepper Rings from the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 2 piece bell pepper
- 100 g cream cheese
- 50 g grated parmesan or a vegan alternative
- 1 piece egg
- 50 g breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- salt and pepper to taste
- a little olive oil for greasing the patties
Instructions
- 1. Wash the peppers and slice them into rings about 1 cm thick.
- 2. Carefully remove the seeds and white inner membranes from the rings.
- 3. Put cream cheese, grated parmesan, paprika powder, oregano, salt, and pepper into a bowl.
- 4. Mix the filling ingredients well together.
- 5. Taste the filling and add more spices if needed.
- 6. Whisk an egg in a shallow dish.
- 7. Put breadcrumbs in a second dish and season them lightly with salt and pepper.
- 8. Fill each pepper ring with the cream cheese mixture.
- 9. Dip a filled ring briefly into the whisked egg.
- 10. Then roll the ring in the breadcrumbs until it is covered all around.
- 11. Repeat this with all the pepper rings.
- 12. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C.
- 13. Brush the breaded patties lightly with olive oil.
- 14. Place the patties in the air fryer basket.
- 15. Make sure the patties do not overlap.
- 16. Cook the patties at 180 °C for 12 to 15 minutes.
- 17. Turn the patties once after half the cooking time.
- 18. Take the golden brown and crispy patties out of the air fryer.
- 19. Let them rest briefly before serving them warm.
- 20. Serve them optionally with yogurt dip or spicy salsa.
