🍽️ Crispy Vegetable Patties from the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 1 can chickpeas
- 1 piece onion, finely chopped
- 1 piece carrot, grated
- 50 g oats
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 1 pinch salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- 1. Open the can of chickpeas and drain the liquid.
- 2. Place the chickpeas into a large bowl.
- 3. Mash the chickpeas roughly with a fork.
- 4. Finely chop the onion.
- 5. Grate the carrot finely.
- 6. Add the onion and carrot to the chickpea mixture.
- 7. Add the oat flakes.
- 8. Sprinkle the cumin over the mixture.
- 9. Add the paprika powder.
- 10. Salt the mixture.
- 11. Pepper the mixture.
- 12. Mix all ingredients thoroughly with your hands or a spoon.
- 13. Check the consistency of the mixture.
- 14. If the mixture feels too wet, add a little more oat flakes.
- 15. Shape small, flat patties from the mixture.
- 16. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C.
- 17. Lightly brush the patties with olive oil.
- 18. Place the patties in the basket of the air fryer.
- 19. Cook the patties for 10 minutes at 180 °C.
- 20. Carefully turn the patties over.
- 21. Cook the patties for another 10 minutes at 180 °C.
- 22. Check if the patties are golden brown and crispy.
- 23. Remove the patties from the air fryer.
- 24. Serve the patties with a fresh salad.
- 25. Alternatively, you can place the patties in a burger bun.
- 26. Enjoy your meal!
