🍽️ Crispy Vegetable Quinoa Balls from the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 100 g quinoa
- 200 ml Water
- 1 piece Carrot, grated
- 1 piece Zucchini, grated
- 1/2 piece Onion
- 1 piece Garlic clove
- 50 g Oat flakes
- 1 piece Egg
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Pepper
- 1 tsp Paprika powder
- 1 tsp Olive oil
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the quinoa under running water in a sieve.
- 2. Place the quinoa and 200 ml of water in a pot.
- 3. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- 4. Reduce the heat and let the quinoa simmer for about 15 minutes.
- 5. Remove the pot from the heat once the water has been absorbed.
- 6. Let the quinoa cool down completely.
- 7. Grate the carrot and the zucchini.
- 8. Finely chop the onion.
- 9. Press the garlic.
- 10. Add the cooled quinoa, the vegetables, the oats, and the egg to a large bowl.
- 11. Season the mixture with salt, pepper, and paprika powder.
- 12. Mix all ingredients thoroughly.
- 13. Form small balls from the mixture.
- 14. If the mixture is too wet, add a little more oats.
- 15. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C.
- 16. Lightly brush the balls with olive oil.
- 17. Place the balls in the basket of the air fryer.
- 18. Cook the balls for 10 minutes in the air fryer.
- 19. Turn the balls once.
- 20. Cook the balls for another 10 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy.
- 21. Serve the balls warm.
- 22. Serve them with yogurt dip or fresh tomato salsa.
