  1. 1. Peel the potatoes.
  2. 2. Grate the peeled potatoes coarsely.
  3. 3. Squeeze the grated potatoes firmly in a clean cloth to remove excess liquid.
  4. 4. Grate the onion finely.
  5. 5. Mix the grated onion with the squeezed potatoes.
  6. 6. Add the egg, flour, salt, pepper, and paprika powder to the potato-onion mixture.
  7. 7. Mix all ingredients well until a uniform dough forms.
  8. 8. Form small, palm-sized rösti from the mixture.
  9. 9. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C.
  10. 10. Place the rösti individually in the basket so they do not touch.
  11. 11. Cook the rösti for 15 to 20 minutes in the air fryer.
  12. 12. Turn the rösti halfway through the cooking time so they become crispy on both sides.
  13. 13. Spray a little oil over the rösti if they seem too dry.
  14. 14. Remove the rösti from the air fryer.
  15. 15. Let the rösti rest for 5 minutes.
  16. 16. Serve the rösti warm.
