Ingredients
- 1 roll ready-made puff pastry
- 100 g grated cheese
- 1 piece egg
- Optional: sesame or black cumin for sprinkling
Instructions
- 1. Lay the puff pastry flat on a work surface.
- 2. Cut the dough into four equal triangles.
- 3. Place about 1 to 2 tablespoons of grated cheese on the wide base of each triangle.
- 4. Sprinkle fresh herbs like thyme or oregano over the cheese if desired.
- 5. Roll the triangles tightly starting from the wide side.
- 6. Gently press the ends of the roll to prevent the cheese from leaking during cooking.
- 7. Whisk an egg in a small bowl.
- 8. Brush the surface of the croissants with the egg mixture.
- 9. Sprinkle sesame seeds or black cumin on top if desired.
- 10. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C.
- 11. Place the croissants in the basket and ensure there is enough space between them.
- 12. Cook the croissants for 8 minutes at 180 °C until they are golden brown and crispy.
- 13. Remove the croissants from the fryer and let them cool for 5 minutes.
