🍽️ Crispy Green Asparagus from the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 250 g green asparagus
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp coarse sea salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 1 pinch garlic powder
- lemon juice to taste
- Parmesan or pine nuts for serving
Instructions
- 1. Thoroughly wash the green asparagus under running water.
- 2. Snap off the lower woody end of the stalks (approx. 2 cm) by bending them gently until they break at the natural point.
- 3. Cut very thick asparagus stalks in half lengthwise to ensure even cooking.
- 4. Place the prepared asparagus into a large bowl.
- 5. Add olive oil, salt, and pepper to taste.
- 6. Add some garlic powder if desired.
- 7. Mix everything well until the asparagus is evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
- 8. Preheat the air fryer to 200 °C.
- 9. Spread the seasoned asparagus evenly in the cooking basket or on the rack of the air fryer.
- 10. Make sure the stalks do not overlap.
- 11. Cook the asparagus at 200 °C for about 10 minutes.
- 12. Shake the basket briefly in between or turn the stalks once to ensure even browning.
- 13. Remove the asparagus when it is lightly browned and crispy on the outside.
- 14. Serve the asparagus immediately while warm.
- 15. Drizzle with some lemon juice if desired.
- 16. Sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan or toasted pine nuts.
