🍽️ Crispy Camembert Balls from the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 1 piece Camembert
- 50 g flour
- 1 piece egg
- 80 g breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 1 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp oil
- Cranberries or honey as dip
Instructions
- 1. Cut the Camembert into 8 equal cubes.
- 2. Gently shape the cubes into round balls using your hands.
- 3. Place the balls in the freezer for 10 minutes.
- 4. Put the flour into a shallow bowl.
- 5. Whisk the egg with 1 tablespoon of milk in a second bowl.
- 6. Mix the breadcrumbs with paprika powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a third bowl.
- 7. Roll the Camembert balls first in the flour.
- 8. Dip the floured balls into the egg-milk mixture.
- 9. Let the excess batter drip off for a moment.
- 10. Then roll the balls in the seasoned breadcrumbs.
- 11. Dip the breaded balls again into the egg-milk mixture.
- 12. Bread the balls a second time in the seasoned breadcrumbs.
- 13. Place the double-breaded balls back in the freezer for 5 to 10 minutes.
- 14. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C.
- 15. Lightly brush the balls with oil or spray them with cooking spray.
- 16. Place the balls in the fryer basket without stacking them on top of each other.
- 17. Bake the balls for 6 to 8 minutes at 180 °C until golden brown and crispy.
- 18. Serve the hot balls immediately with cranberries or honey.
- 19. Alternatively, garnish them with fig mustard or a fruity chutney.
