  1. 1. Place the thawed peas in a bowl.
  2. 2. Mash the peas roughly with a fork.
  3. 3. Make sure some small pieces remain.
  4. 4. Add the oats to the pea mixture.
  5. 5. Add the chopped onion.
  6. 6. Add the chopped garlic.
  7. 7. Sprinkle in the chopped parsley.
  8. 8. Add the cumin.
  9. 9. Add the paprika powder.
  10. 10. Season with salt and pepper.
  11. 11. Mix all ingredients well together.
  12. 12. Stir the egg into the mixture.
  13. 13. Check the consistency of the mixture.
  14. 14. If the mixture seems too wet, add a little more oats.
  15. 15. Form four patties from the mixture.
  16. 16. Place the patties on a plate.
  17. 17. Let the patties rest for five minutes.
  18. 18. Preheat the air fryer to 190 °C.
  19. 19. Place the patties in the fryer basket.
  20. 20. Optionally brush the patties with a little olive oil.
  21. 21. Cook the patties for 10 to 12 minutes in the air fryer.
  22. 22. Turn the patties halfway through the cooking time.
  23. 23. Remove the patties from the air fryer when they are golden brown and crispy.
  24. 24. Let the patties cool down briefly.
  25. 25. Serve the patties with yogurt dip or fresh salad.
