  1. 1. Cut the fish fillet into even strips about 8 to 10 centimeters long.
  2. 2. Season the fish strips with some lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  3. 3. Set the seasoned fish aside briefly while you prepare the breading.
  4. 4. Prepare three small bowls.
  5. 5. Fill the first bowl with flour and mix it with paprika powder.
  6. 6. Put the egg in the second bowl and whisk it well.
  7. 7. Fill the third bowl with breadcrumbs.
  8. 8. Coat each fish strip first in the flour mixture.
  9. 9. Then dip the fish strip through the whisked egg.
  10. 10. Finally, roll the fish strip in the breadcrumbs.
  11. 11. Press the breading lightly so that it adheres well to the fish.
  12. 12. Preheat the air fryer to 200 °C.
  13. 13. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  14. 14. Place the breaded fish sticks in the basket.
  15. 15. Make sure the fish sticks do not overlap.
  16. 16. Lightly spray the fish sticks again with cooking spray.
  17. 17. Cook the fish sticks for 12 to 15 minutes in the air fryer.
  18. 18. Turn the sticks halfway through the cooking time.
  19. 19. Remove the golden brown fish sticks from the air fryer.
  20. 20. Serve the fish sticks immediately with lemon slices.
  21. 21. Garnish them with a dip like tartar sauce or a crisp salad.
