🍽️ Crispy Chicken Burgers from the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 2 pieces chicken breast fillets
- 2 pieces burger buns
- 4 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp grated parmesan
- 1 piece egg
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 2 leaves iceberg lettuce
- 1 piece tomatoes
- 2 slices cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- 1. Mix breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, paprika powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a shallow bowl.
- 2. Whisk one egg in a second bowl.
- 3. Place flour in a third bowl.
- 4. Pound the chicken breast fillets flat so they are evenly thick.
- 5. Coat the fillets first in the flour.
- 6. Dip the floured fillets next into the whisked egg.
- 7. Finally roll the fillets in the breadcrumb mixture until fully covered.
- 8. Place the breaded chicken breast fillets in the air fryer.
- 9. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C and cook the fillets for 16–18 minutes.
- 10. Turn the fillets halfway through the cooking time so they become evenly crispy.
- 11. Halve the burger buns while the chicken is cooking.
- 12. Toast the bun halves briefly for about 2 minutes in the air fryer.
- 13. Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of the buns.
- 14. Place a lettuce leaf on the mayonnaise.
- 15. Place the crispy chicken fillet on the lettuce leaf.
- 16. Add a tomato slice.
- 17. Optionally add a slice of cheese.
- 18. Close the burger with the top bun half.
- 19. Press the burgers down slightly.
- 20. Let the burgers rest briefly.
- 21. Serve the burgers.
- 22. Enjoy the burgers best with a side dish like sweet potato fries from the air fryer.
