  2. 2. Heat the mixture on medium heat until the butter has melted.
  3. 3. Let the mixture simmer gently for a short moment.
  4. 4. Remove the saucepan from the heat immediately.
  5. 5. Stir the flour into the hot liquid using a wooden spoon.
  6. 6. Keep stirring until a smooth ball of dough forms.
  7. 7. Let the dough cool down for 5 minutes.
  8. 8. Cooling prevents the egg from scrambling when you add it.
  9. 9. Add the egg to the cooled dough.
  10. 10. Stir the egg in thoroughly until a smooth mass forms.
  11. 11. The finished dough should be thick and sticky.
  12. 12. Fill the dough into a piping bag.
  13. 13. Attach a star nozzle to the piping bag.
  14. 14. The star nozzle creates the typical churro look.
