🍽️ Crispy Bratwurst with Red Cabbage and Fried Potatoes from the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 4 pieces fried sausages
- 300 g red cabbage
- 4 pieces potatoes
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp butter
- 1 piece onion, finely chopped
- 1 piece apple
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 pinch sugar
- salt and pepper to taste
- fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- 1. Peel the potatoes and slice them into even rounds.
- 2. Toss the potato slices with one tablespoon of vegetable oil, salt, and pepper.
- 3. Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket.
- 4. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C and cook the potatoes until crispy for 20 to 25 minutes.
- 5. Turn the potatoes once halfway through cooking to ensure even browning.
- 6. Melt the butter in a pot and sauté the chopped onions until translucent.
- 7. Add the diced apple and let it steam briefly.
- 8. Stir in the red cabbage, apple cider vinegar, and a pinch of sugar.
- 9. Season the vegetables with salt and pepper to taste.
- 10. Simmer the red cabbage over low heat for 10 to 15 minutes.
- 11. Place the bratwursts in the air fryer basket.
- 12. Cook the sausages at 180 °C for about 15 minutes until they are crispy outside and cooked through inside.
- 13. Turn the sausages occasionally so they brown evenly on all sides.
- 14. Serve the fried potatoes and bratwurst together with the red cabbage on plates.
- 15. Garnish the dish with fresh parsley if desired.
