  2. 2. Place the eggs directly into the cooking basket without any water.
  3. 3. Cook the eggs for 10 to 11 minutes, depending on size and desired firmness.
  4. 4. Immediately shock the eggs in a bowl of ice-cold water.
  5. 5. Peel the cooled eggs and cut them into small cubes.
  6. 6. Stir mayonnaise, yogurt or crème fraîche, mustard, and lemon juice until smooth.
  7. 7. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. 8. Gently fold in the egg cubes and chives into the sauce.
  9. 9. Do not stir too vigorously so that the egg pieces remain visible.
  10. 10. Let the salad rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  11. 11. This will make the salad significantly creamier and more flavorful.
