  1. 1. Put the eggs, sugar, and vanilla sugar into a large bowl.
  2. 2. Whisk or beat the mixture until it is light and frothy.
  3. 3. Pour the oil and milk into the egg mixture.
  4. 4. Stir the ingredients until they are well combined.
  5. 5. Put the flour and baking powder into a separate small bowl.
  6. 6. Mix the flour with the wet ingredients until no more flour lumps are visible.
  7. 7. Divide the finished batter evenly into two equal parts.
  8. 8. Stir the cocoa powder into one of the two batter parts.
  9. 9. Grease an 18 cm round baking pan with some oil or butter.
  10. 10. Lightly dust the greased pan with flour and shake off the excess.
  11. 11. Preheat the air fryer to 160 °C.
  12. 12. Put a spoonful of light batter into the center of the prepared pan.
  13. 13. Put a spoonful of dark batter directly next to it in the pan.
  14. 14. Repeat the alternating filling until the batter is used up.
  15. 15. Place the pan into the air fryer.
  16. 16. Bake the cake for 35 minutes at 160 °C.
  17. 17. After the baking time, insert a wooden skewer into the center of the cake.
  18. 18. If the skewer comes out clean, the cake is done.
