  1. 1. Grate the raw potatoes coarsely onto a clean kitchen towel.
  2. 2. Squeeze out all the released potato juice from the mixture.
  3. 3. Place the dry grated potatoes together with the onion, cornstarch, and spices into a large bowl.
  4. 4. Stir all ingredients in the bowl thoroughly until a uniform mixture forms.
  5. 5. Place a piece of baking paper into the basket of your air fryer.
  6. 6. Brush the baking paper thinly with some oil so the pancakes do not stick.
  7. 7. Take one tablespoon of the potato mixture and form four small, flat dollops on the baking paper.
  8. 8. Brush the top side of the four pancakes lightly with oil as well.
  9. 9. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C and insert the basket for 10 minutes.
  10. 10. Open the fryer carefully and turn the potato pancakes with a spatula.
  11. 11. Close the fryer and bake the pancakes for another 7 to 10 minutes until crispy.
