  1. 1. Peel the potatoes completely. Alternatively, you can wash them thoroughly and keep the skin on.
  2. 2. Slice the potatoes into paper-thin rounds. Use a mandoline, vegetable peeler, or slicer for best results.
  3. 3. Place the slices in a bowl of cold water for 20 minutes.
  4. 4. Remove the potatoes from the water and pat them completely dry with a kitchen towel or paper napkin.
  5. 5. Preheat the air fryer to 185 °C.
  6. 6. Arrange the dry potato slices in a single layer side by side in the cooking basket.
  7. 7. Lightly spray the slices with oil or brush a small amount of oil onto them.
  8. 8. Cook the chips in the air fryer for 10 to 12 minutes.
  9. 9. Shake the basket gently after 8 minutes to ensure even browning.
  10. 10. Remove the finished chips and season them immediately with salt and a little paprika powder.
