  1. 1. Cut the chicken schnitzels in half if they are too thick, so they lie flat. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  2. 2. Slice the tomatoes and the mozzarella into even slices.
  3. 3. Spread one teaspoon of pesto on each chicken schnitzel. Then place one slice of tomato and one slice of mozzarella on top.
  4. 4. Preheat the air fryer to 200 °C. Place the topped schnitzels in the cooking basket and cook them for 10 minutes until crispy. Garnish the finished dish with fresh basil.
