🍽️ Crispy Bacon Meatloaf from the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 500 g mixed ground meat
- ½ onion
- 3 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp mustard
- 1 tsp salt
- 150 g bacon (in slices)
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onion and dice it into fine cubes.
- 2. Place the minced meat, onion cubes, breadcrumbs, egg, mustard, and salt into a large bowl.
- 3. Mix the ingredients thoroughly by hand until you have a uniform mixture.
- 4. Shape the mixture into a small loaf that fits loosely into the cooking basket of your air fryer.
- 5. Wrap the meatloaf tightly with the bacon slices.
- 6. Place the wrapped loaf into the air fryer basket.
- 7. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C and place the meatloaf inside for 20 to 25 minutes.
- 8. Carefully turn the meatloaf over to ensure the bacon becomes crispy on all sides.
- 9. Cook the loaf for another 20 to 25 minutes at 180 °C.
- 10. Check the core temperature with a meat thermometer: it should reach 70 to 72 °C.
- 11. If you do not have a thermometer, cut into the center: the meat must be fully cooked and no longer pink.
- 12. Let the meatloaf rest briefly before slicing it.
