🍽️ Flammkuchen Hearts from the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 2 sheets puff pastry
- 200 g sour cream
- 2 spring onions
- 60 g diced ham
- 60 g grated cheese
- salt
- pepper
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp milk
Instructions
- 1. Plan about 12 minutes of baking time for each individual heart.
- 2. Thoroughly wash the spring onions.
- 3. Slice the spring onions into thin rings.
- 4. Place the crème fraîche into a large bowl.
- 5. Add the ham cubes to the crème fraîche mixture.
- 6. Add the grated cheese.
- 7. Stir in the sliced onion rings.
- 8. Season the filling with salt and pepper to taste.
- 9. Mix all ingredients in the bowl thoroughly.
- 10. Roll out the puff pastry flat on a work surface.
- 11. Cut out four large hearts, each 15 cm in diameter, from the dough using a mold.
- 12. Cut out small hearts from the remaining dough.
- 13. Take four large puff pastry hearts as the base.
- 14. Spread the prepared filling evenly over these four hearts.
- 15. Place an unfilled small puff pastry heart on top of each filled heart.
- 16. Press the edges of the two dough layers together firmly with a fork.
- 17. Crack an egg into a small bowl.
- 18. Add a little milk to the egg.
- 19. Whisk the egg and milk together with a fork until smooth.
- 20. Brush the top of the flammkuchen hearts with the egg-milk mixture.
- 21. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the hearts if desired.
- 22. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C.
- 23. Place the hearts one by one into the air fryer basket.
- 24. Bake the hearts for 12 minutes each until golden brown and crispy.
