🍽️ Cheeseburger Skewers from the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 500 g ground beef
- 1 onion (small)
- 1 egg
- 1 wheat roll from the day before
- 1 tsp mustard
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tsp chopped herbs (I always keep in the freezer compartment)
- Cheddar (3 slices Cheddar cheese)
- 20 pickles (mini cornichons)
- 20 cherry tomatoes
- Bacon (5 slices)
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onion and dice it into fine cubes.
- 2. Peel the garlic clove.
- 3. Soak the bread roll briefly in water.
- 4. Squeeze the soaked bread roll well after a few minutes.
- 5. Put the minced beef, the egg, the squeezed bread, the mustard, salt, pepper, and the herbs into a bowl.
- 6. Knead the ingredients well together.
- 7. Form 20 small meatballs from the meat mixture.
- 8. Preheat the air fryer to 200 °C.
- 9. Place the meatballs in the cooking basket of the air fryer.
- 10. Cook the meatballs for 11 minutes in the air fryer.
- 11. Turn the meatballs after half the cooking time (i.e., after approx. 5.5 minutes).
- 12. Top each finished meatball with some cheddar cheese.
- 13. Melt the cheese for 1 minute in the air fryer.
- 14. Remove the meatballs from the air fryer.
- 15. Cook the bacon for 5 minutes at 200 °C in the air fryer until crispy.
- 16. Skewer a cheddar meatball onto a toothpick.
- 17. Add a piece of bacon to the toothpick.
- 18. Add some lettuce to the toothpick.
- 19. Add a pickle to the toothpick.
- 20. Add a tomato to the toothpick to finish the skewer.
