🍽️ Crispy Berliner Doughnuts from the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 500 g wheat flour
- 10 g fresh yeast
- 180 ml milk
- 60 g sugar
- 60 g butter
- 1 egg
- 1 pinch salt
- 50 g butter
- sugar
- strawberry jam
Instructions
- 1. Add the sugar and yeast to the lukewarm milk and stir until everything has dissolved.
- 2. Knead the yeast milk with the flour, a pinch of salt, the butter, and the egg to form a smooth dough.
- 3. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- 4. Divide the dough into 10 equal parts (approx. 90 grams each) and form round balls.
- 5. Place the dough balls on baking paper and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- 6. Preheat the air fryer to 170 °C.
- 7. Melt the butter in a small pot or in the microwave.
- 8. Place the doughnuts in the air fryer and bake them for 6 minutes at 170 °C.
- 9. Remove the doughnuts, turn them over, and brush the top side with the melted butter.
- 10. Place the doughnuts back in the fryer and bake them for another 6 minutes at 170 °C.
- 11. Remove the finished doughnuts and brush them once more with butter.
- 12. Roll the doughnuts immediately in sugar until they are completely covered.
- 13. Poke small holes into the side of the doughnuts using a syringe.
- 14. Carefully fill the doughnuts with strawberry jam.
