🍽️ Crispy Apple Rings in Puff Pastry from the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 2 apples
- 1 roll puff pastry
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tbsp milk
- 2 tbsp sliced almonds
- 1 tbsp sugar
- cinnamon
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C.
- 2. Take the puff pastry out of the packaging and roll it out flat.
- 3. Cut the dough lengthwise into 2 cm wide strips.
- 4. Divide each strip into three equal pieces.
- 5. Peel the apples completely.
- 6. Cut each apple into four thick slices.
- 7. Use a small glass or cutter to punch out the core from the center of each apple slice.
- 8. Wrap one puff pastry piece around each apple ring.
- 9. Whisk the milk and egg yolk together in a small bowl.
- 10. Brush the pastry rings with the milk and egg yolk mixture.
- 11. Sprinkle the rings with cinnamon, sugar, and sliced almonds.
- 12. Place the apple rings in the cooking basket of the air fryer.
- 13. Bake the rings for 15 minutes at 180 °C.
- 14. Sprinkle the finished rings with powdered sugar if desired.
