🍽️ Vegetarian Falafel from the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 300 g Chickpeas
- 1 Onion
- 2 Garlic clove
- 20 g Parsley
- 1 TL Coriander
- 1 TL Chili flakes
- 1 TL Salt
- 1 TL Pepper
- 1 TL Baking powder
- 50 g Breadcrumbs
Instructions
- 1. Drain the chickpeas into a sieve and rinse them under cold water.
- 2. Transfer the drained chickpeas to a kitchen towel and pat them dry.
- 3. Peel the onion and dice it roughly.
- 4. Peel the 2 garlic cloves and chop them finely.
- 5. Wash the parsley, shake it dry, and chop it finely.
- 6. Put the onion, garlic, and parsley into the food processor.
- 7. Add the dry chickpeas to the mixture in the processor.
- 8. Pulse everything briefly until you have a coarse, sticky dough.
- 9. Remove the dough and place it into a large bowl.
- 10. Stir 1 teaspoon coriander, chili flakes, salt, and pepper into the dough.
- 11. Sprinkle the baking powder and breadcrumbs over the dough and knead everything together.
- 12. Form the dough into 8 flat, approximately 2 cm thick patties.
- 13. Place the falafel in the air fryer basket and spray them with oil.
- 14. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C until the signal sounds.
- 15. Cook the falafel at 180 °C for about 15 minutes, turning them after 7 minutes, until they are golden brown.
- 16. Remove the golden brown falafel and let them rest for 2 minutes.
