  2. 2. Remove the pod from the milk and set it aside.
  3. 3. Pour the milk into a saucepan and add the vanilla seeds (from the scraped pod).
  4. 4. Whisk the egg yolks, sugar, and cornstarch in a separate bowl until the mixture is smooth.
  5. 5. Add the butter to the hot pudding and stir until melted.
  6. 6. Slowly pour the hot milk into the egg yolk mixture while stirring to prevent curdling.
  7. 7. Fill the pudding bites into small cups and let them cool in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
