  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius. Grease a baking dish (approx. 20x20 cm) with a little butter and dust it lightly with flour.
  2. 2. Slice the vanilla pod lengthwise and scrape out the seeds. Mix the seeds with the remaining pulp.
  3. 3. Melt the butter in a small saucepan. Stir the sugar into the melted butter.
  4. 4. Reduce the heat and stir in the flour until a dough forms. Remove the pot from the heat.
  5. 5. Pour in the hot milk slowly while stirring constantly until the mixture is smooth. Let it cool for a moment.
  6. 6. Stir in the eggs one by one and finally add the vanilla seeds and pulp.
  7. 7. Pour the mixture into the prepared dish and bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes until the cake is golden brown and slightly risen.
  8. 8. Let the cake cool in the dish before cutting into it. Serve the dessert warm or at room temperature.
